Week 3 - Day 2

What a magical day

Heading to the Magic Kingdom today! I definitely feel a tad bit guilty about yesterday’s binge eating, so I’ll try to do better today. I have a plan and everything

Exercise-wise, it was technically core and cardio day today. I didn’t do the cardio portion because it said “take a 20-30 minute brisk walk around the park or campground”. Well, we usually spend 11-12 hours at the parks each day and I walk all the time (minus the hours spent in line). I felt like it was a little bit overkill to do both.

The only core exercise I skipped was mountain climbers. I didn’t skip it because I hate them (even though I do), but because I didn’t really have a good place to do them at. I was worried about the floor of the camper giving way (I don’t know why, but I did) and I didn’t want to wake my family up. So, no mountain climbers today.

I’m eatin’ up over it, I’m tellin’ ya.

Mealtime

Breakfast

Yesterday, I mentioned I was eating a slice of bread with some peanut butter and a banana on it for breakfast. We still did that today, but I’ve gotten even lazier.

Rather than cut the banana into slice and put it on the piece of bread or even eating the banana like a normal person, I’ve decided that putting the entire thing on a slice of bread and then folding it like a hot dog was the best way to do.

My banana hot dog was delicious this morning.

Morning Snack

Since we weren’t heading to the Food and Wine festival today, I actually brought a snack with me.

If you guessed rice cakes, you are correct!

We had bought a large box of the individual bags before we drove down to easily carry with us. This was a nice snack as we walked around the park.

Lunch

We go to Disney World a lot. Basically 3 times a year at the minimum if not more as we go with other groups. That being said, I know the parks pretty well. I can take you to any ride, I can recommend food for you, I can even show you the best places to watch the shows.

That said, I basically knew where we could go to eat a healthy (ish) meal. I still asked AI what it thought because I was curious.

And because it said I could, so I wanted to see what it did.

AI Prompt -> Hello. I’m on a health journey and am trying to eat better. Unfortunately, I’m currently on vacation at disney world. Where and what can I eat in the magic kingdom to stay healthy?

I like being polite as I ask questions.

The recommendations it gave was actually spot on with what I would have said. Columbia Harbor House for the grilled seafood and Pecos Bill for the chicken fajita platter. It also said where to get some healthy fruit snacks (Liberty Square Market). What I did find interesting was it also recommended Pinocchio’s Village Haus for the Margherita Flatbread (didn’t know that was healthy) and the Be Our Guest Restaurant.

Yea right. Good luck getting into Be Our Guest without paying an arm or a leg.

Of the choices, we went with Columbia Harbor House where I enjoyed some grilled shrimp over green beans. Very good.

Evening Snack

Skipped this. It was during the parade, we had been snacking on some popcorn all day and wasn’t feeling to hungry.

Dinner

We did another recommendation from earlier and went with Pecos Bill. Unfortunately, Disney apparently recently redid the menu here so there was no fajita platter anymore. Very sad.

There was a southwest salad that I could have gotten, but I went with the chicken nachos instead. I know, nachos wasn’t on the list! I’m a sucker for them though. I can’t turn down a good nacho plate.

I did, however, get the kid’s meal option. Less food, still filled me up, was still delicious.
